Inside Out & Back Again – Thanhha Lai

To me, there are two ways to think of poetry. There's the type that sort of just tells you something, like a story. But it’s so simple. And this story doesn’t exactly play put an effect on you. The cat went to the park. Soon the cat heard a bark… And so on. I guess...

The Someday Birds – Sally J. Pla

Charlie's life has been perfect up until this point. Perfectly germ-less and clean, perfectly organized and perfectly ordinary. That is up until his dad gets hurt in Afghanistan. Now Charlie is living with his grandmother and frequently visiting his dad. But then...

Schooled – Gordon Korman

“I was thirteen the first time I saw a police officer up close. He was arresting me for driving without a license at the time, I didn’t know what a license was. I wasn’t too clear on what being arrested meant either.” -Cap Anderson, Schooled.  Can we just make this...

Spy School – Stuart Gibbs

Spys! Secret organisations! This books got it all! The series itself  is a favorite of mine by a long shot. It felt like every moment I was reading it I was saying “What's next! What’s next!” Stuart Gibbs makes the main character, Ben relatable...

Stuart Gibbs – An inspiring Author

Stuart Gibbs is one of the best children's book authors ever. That has got to be a fact. I have read almost all of his book and haven't found one I don't like. He has inspired me as a reader and a writer and gives me a passion for writing books. I was so exited to...

Some of My Favorite Books

Are you looking for something good to read?  Here are some of my all-time favorites.

Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk

See You in the Cosmos by Jack Cheng

Spy School by Stuart Gibbs

The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin

Big News That I'm Super Exited For...

1.) Spy School 7! My favorite books series is getting yet another book; Spy School: British Invasion! The last book left off in a crazy moment and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

2.) The One And Only Ivan is becoming a movie! Finally! I am a huge fan of this book and I’ve wanted them to make a movie so badly! Though I do not think there is a trailer yet and they are still filming. But who cares! I’m just so exited to see the movie and I know other fans of the one and only Ivan are too.

Books I'm Reading Now

I will change this every few days depending on when I finish a book!!!

1.) Project 1065. I can’t put this book down! Every page there’s there a new twist or turn. I will soon do a review on it so I won’t give much away. It’s about a boy named Michael, who is originally from Ireland but him and his family have been sent to represent their country. It’s the middle of world war two and Ireland is technically neutral. But Michael soon learns that the real reason his family is in Germany is not to represent Ireland, but to spy. I can’t wait to finish!

2.) Soul of an octopus. This book is fascinating! I have never been very interested in octopuses but now i’m learning how amazing and unique they are. Did you know that when an octopus catches it’s prey it holds it in it’s suckers then moves it up in a conveyor belt motion! It’s really cool! But just a heads up I would really only recommend this book to older and more advanced readers, for it can become a bit confusing from time to time.

The Wild Robot - Peter Brown

When Roz powers up a she finds herself on a island in who-knows-where?! She has no idea what she’s doing here and why shes here. All she knows is that she has to survive. After some ‘mishaps’ on the island this robot is forced to learn to adapt in this environment and blend in with the wild life. Soon enough she buddy ups with the wildlife. Maybe Roz will make it! After all, she’s doing so well. But soon some unexpected visitors arrive. Perhaps things might not go as planned…

This book is fun, creative, and loved by so many all over. It has a feel good vibe and it makes you want to root for Roz the whole time. The third-person writing style is great and authentic. Same for the adorable illustrations. Seeing Roz try to figure out survival is so amusing and joyful. I was smiling and laughing the whole time and by the end felt heart warmed. Maybe you’ll find enough interest in this first book to read the second!
